Holocron

Holocrons were capable of storing a huge amount of information in the form of a multitude of holographic records, knowledge, and chronicles that narrated the nature of the Force and the history of their former owners. Holocrons used a seemingly forgotten technology, through which numerous organic crystals formed a complex lattice that served to record and reproduce hologram images and sounds. The holocrons were imbued with subtle energy and could only be used by beings wielding the Force. Holocrons surpassed the capabilities of traditional information files and holographic books, having virtually unlimited information capacity and requiring no external energy sources, as the core energy was supported by the reader's Power every time the medium was used.

But the holocron was more than a collection of static recordings.: In fact, it was an interactive tutorial, an intuitive logic module that naturalistically recreated the three-dimensional holographic image and personality of the long-dead creators.
