The Emerald Messenger

The Emerald Herald is a character in the game Dark Souls II.

First meeting: when leaving the World Between in Majula, go in the direction of the obelisk. There will be a bonfire along the way. The messenger stands near a tree growing near the cliff. Later, the Messenger will be near the Majula campfire (Distant Fire).
Second meeting: at the approach to Dranglik Castle.
The third meeting will take place in front of Wendrik in the Tomb of the Undead.
The fourth meeting will take place in the Dragon's Nest.
The fifth and final meeting will take place after the opening of the Royal Gates leading to the Throne of Desire.
After each meeting, the Messenger returns to Majula.

There is a children's version of the Emerald Messenger that was cut from the game.

The Messenger is not immortal, so caution should be exercised. Her death will temporarily cut off the opportunity for you to level up your character and receive new flasks with estus.

If you kill her, an Old feather will fall from her, which allows you to return to the campfire where you rested last time. She will hand over the feather herself when you talk to her at the entrance to the Dragon's Nest location. The feather is one of the items required to complete Navlaan's quest.

Her real name is Shanalotte. In the dialogue before the final battle, she will say that "she was created by humans, but was born by a dragon."

Before entering the Dragon's Nest location, the protagonist meets the reflection of a Messenger from the past. The projection from the past is shorter and has a younger voice.

The credits indicate that she was voiced by two voice actors.

Navlaan says that her name is Musa and many consider her the last guardian of the fire, although he does not share this point of view, saying that you should not believe everything that is said.

Despite the fact that the Emerald Messenger is not aggressive towards the main character and will not respond even to a clear threat to her life, she can still be offended. Such a sin deprives you of the opportunity to speak with the Messenger and use the bonfire.

You can see the heterochromia in the Messenger. Her right eye is dark purple, and her left eye is brown.
