The Nameless King

In the age of the gods, the Nameless King was once famous as the god of war and the "heir of lightning." He was a dragon slayer and killed ancient dragons, but later sacrificed everything to form an alliance with them. He tamed the Storm Dragon and fought with it in many battles. When the dragons were overthrown, the Nameless King's name was erased from the annals.

Apparently, the Nameless king is the firstborn of Gwyn, who is mentioned in the description of the ring of the solar firstborn in the first part of the game. Earlier in Dark Souls, it was mentioned that the firstborn was known as the god of war and fought with a lightning spear. As punishment for the "stupidity" that led to the loss of the chronicles, Gwyn stripped his firstborn of his divine status. It was probably he who was worshipped by the Covenant Warriors of Light, Heirs of the Sun, and Warriors of the Sun, and it was he who should be depicted by the destroyed altars of these covenants.

Ornstein the Dragon Slayer was related to the Nameless King; according to Seth the Dragon Slayer's description, Ornstein left the ruined cathedral that he had previously guarded to go in search of the Nameless King, but did not find him.
