The Ghost Rider

Once upon a time, the famous stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaise, who was fond of the occult in his spare time, performed a ritual of summoning the devil to cure his stepfather, also a motorcyclist, of a fatal illness. The demon lord Mephisto agreed to fulfill his request in exchange for Blaise's soul. Johnny's stepfather recovered, but soon died while performing a difficult trick. When Mephisto came for Blaise's soul, Johnny's wife Roxanne performed an exorcism. Mephisto retreated, but infused the soul of the fiery demon Zeratos into Blaise's body. For many centuries, Mephisto amused himself by infusing Zeratos into different human bodies. At first, Blaise considered the demon to be something like the revived dark side of his own personality.

When the demon sensed the presence of "evil" nearby, he mystically burned Blaise's flesh, turning him into a flaming skeleton, created a fiery motorcycle and punished the villains, becoming famous as a Ghost Rider. When he returned to his human form, Blaise's body would regenerate. However, the relationship between Blaise and Zarathos, who shared the same body, was very complicated, and from time to time, Zarathos would get out of Blaise's control and start running amok.
