Sally Acorn

Princess Sally Acorn is one of the main characters of the Sonic the Hedgehog series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. She is a Mobius chipmunk, the daughter of King Nigel Acorn and the Leader of the Freedom Fighters. She was born as the heir to her father's throne. She was taken as a child to the sanctuary of Knotol Village in the Rosie Woodchuk Forest Area when her father was betrayed by his royal advisor Dr. Eggman. After Nigel Acorn was rescued and resumed his role as king, Sally continued to lead the Freedom Fighters in the ongoing battle against the Eggman Empire.

Sally was born as the heir to the Kingdom of Acorn and lived a peaceful life in Mobotropolis, always playing and enjoying life with her father. Sally also seems to be friends with scientist Dr. Ellidi, who gifted her with a high-tech laptop computer. After determining that the A.I. inside was "her," Sally asked the doctor for her name, and Ellidi couldn't answer. Her father suggested that she named the computer after a queen from her family line: Nicole. Sally became very attached to Nicole, whose extensive database seemed to her suitable for any teaching, but she realized that Nicole at that time did not pay attention to anything but logic.

One night, her sleep was interrupted by Rosie, who grabbed her in her arms and carried her to the safety of the Knotol village in the Forest Area after the Royal Advisor (the man who would later become known as Dr. Eggman) betrayed him and banished both him and the royal wizard Walter Naugus to a Special Area, allowing him to take over the kingdom. Sally held Nicole even after she ran away to Knotol, and eventually helped the computer discover her feelings.

Inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog's heroism, Sally assembled a team of Freedom Fighters, whom she led as a leader to fight the Eggman Empire. While on Westside Island, Sally, Sonic, and Miles "Tails" Prower met Dulcie the Dragon and taught her that she can choose her own destiny. After a long battle, the Freedom Fighters were finally able to retake the city where Sonic saved Nigel. When the Eggman Empire still had a strong influence in the rest of the world, Nigel returned to his duties as king, allowing his daughter to continue leading the Freedom Fighters.
