Dr. Manhattan


After an unsuccessful experiment, Dr. Manhattan gained the ability to see time non-linearly and simultaneously relive all the moments of his life. He can also change his own DNA, turning himself into anyone and endowing himself with almost limitless abilities. Jonathan influences other objects by manipulating their molecules and forcing them to take the desired shape. Possessing superpowers, telekinesis, the ability to teleport and immortality, he is, in fact, a demigod.

Jonathan Osterman was born in 1929. His father was a watchmaker and John planned to follow in his footsteps. When Jonathan's father saw an article in the newspaper about the bombing of Hiroshima, he was confronted with the indisputable facts of the theory of relativity and decided that repairing watches was outdated. The future belonged to nuclear physics. For this reason, he stopped teaching his son watchmaking and sent him to study physics.

In 1958, Jonathan received a degree in physics. In May 1959, he began working at the Gila Flats Research Center. Here he meets researcher Janie Slater, with whom Osterman falls in love.

In August 1959, while searching for his girlfriend Jenny Slater's watch, he accidentally fell into a laboratory test capsule. In the test capsule, his natural appearance disappeared, and Jonathan was decomposed into tiny particles. During November 1959, the particles that made up Jonathan began to slowly come together and by November 22 were completely reunited.

After the Manhattan project, Jonathan was given the name Dr. Manhattan. In the following years, Dr. Manhattan worked as a crime fighter, which, according to the Pentagon, should have reflected well on his image.

In 1971, President Nixon asked Dr. Manhattan to join the Vietnam War. Dr. Manhattan won the war for Nixon within two weeks.
