Yondu Udonta

Yondu Udonta is a Centauri by birth, but as a child his parents sold him to the Kree Empire, where he became a slave and lived in a cage. Twenty years later, Stakar Ogord found him and invited him to join the Ravagers. Yondu soon became the leader of one of the hundred clans of the bandit group. Yondu's ravagers marauded across the galaxy, taking whatever they wanted.

Ego became one of Yondu's customers — Udonta searched all over the galaxy for his children and delivered them to his father. Ego claimed that the children were safe with him, but Yondu soon found out that this was not the case, and they all died. The last order was Peter Quill, who was not handed over to his father. Peter was raised among the Reavers and became like a son to Yondu. Although Udonta's parenting methods were very harsh and his jokes were malicious, he really became attached to the boy, and his care was so ridiculous.

Kidnapping children is forbidden according to the Reavers' code, so when they found out about Udonta's dealings, he and his clan members became outcasts.
