Tyranids

The Tyranids, also known as the Great Devourer, are an extragalactic alien race whose sole purpose is to absorb any form of genetic and biological material for their development and reproduction. Tyranid technology is based entirely on biological engineering. Every function, every task is performed by living, specially created creatures that together form a hive fleet controlled by a single Hive Mind.

The Tyranids are considered the most terrifying threat to the entire Galaxy. You can't negotiate with them and you can't keep them, the only thing they crave is to consume all organic life. And the most terrifying thing is that the Tyranid hive fleets encountered so far may turn out to be just harbingers of the main invasion fleets still sailing through the void of space.
