Abatur

Since their inception, the Zerg have sought to achieve perfection through ruthless, predatory evolution. The superintelligence planted this attitude in their subconscious, and Abatur was created as a living embodiment of his will.

The Abatur is an ancient organism, the master of evolution, capable of changing fragments of Zerg DNA and controlling mutations of existing subspecies of the Swarm. Since Abatur gained freedom, his approach to the evolutionary development of the Swarm has become very unusual: absorbing living tissues and extracting the genetic code from them allows him to recreate various organisms. Such procedures are often extremely unpleasant.

Abatur's methods aren't the only way for Roy to change his appearance, but this zerg has perfected them over the years he spent wandering after the Overmind's demise. Once on the Charm, the dispassionate and methodical Abatur began to change all the Zerg that got in his way. He was obsessed with making the Swarm as diverse as possible.
