Abyss Watchers is a boss in the game Dark Souls III. One of the five lords of the ashes.

These warriors vowed to taste the wolf's blood and search for traces of the Abyss everywhere, constantly fighting its creatures. The Legion was a group of undead and followers of Artorias the Wayfarer of the Abyss. With wolf blood and a legacy of indomitable will, they were ready to destroy entire kingdoms at the slightest sign of infection by the Abyss.

It is also known that the legion has enlisted the help of one of the Experts in crystal charms. The twin who joined the legion created a magic based on speed, which fully reflected the legion's tactics based on speed rather than strength.

Having sworn allegiance to the Wolfblood soul, the Guardians of the Abyss became the Lords of the Ashes, but at the same time, the power of the Wolfblood soul ran out. It is unknown for what reason they took the throne of the Ash Lords, perhaps to fulfill their duty and prolong the Era of Fire in order to prevent the Abyss from spreading. At the moment, the Guardians of the Abyss are only a poor imitation of their former selves, and it seems that they have been corrupted by the Abyss, just like the rest of the inhabitants of Farron's citadel.
