Atreus

Atreus is the child of Kratos and the giantess Lauveia. His story is not disclosed, but it is known that Kratos was often absent for long periods, which is reflected in the level shown where Kratos is not sure of his son's skills, and which proves that the mother was responsible for raising and educating her son. However, Faye later died under unknown circumstances, and Kratos was fully responsible for Atreus.

Some time after the death of his mother and the return of his father, Atreus begins to learn hunting with Kratos. His father also teaches him how to fight, where the boy assumes a supporting role with his bow. Fortunately for Kratos, the son was not born a murderer and does not want to kill, even when one of the monsters attacks the father. However, he is ready to fight. Both characters travel to the highest mountain peak in the Northern Kingdom to scatter their mother's ashes there.
