Domino (X-Men)

Domino is a Marvel Comics character, a member of the X-Men, or rather the X-Force team. Created by writer Fabian Nicessa and artist Rob Liffield, the character appeared in X-Force #11 (June 1992). Her real name is Nina Thurman. Domino also appears in the animated series Wolverine and the X-Men as a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants and in the movie Deadpool 2.

Domino's image first appeared in the first volume of The New Mutants in issue #98 (February 1991), but it turned out to be a mutant metamorph named Copycat. Domino herself appeared in flashbacks in the first volume of X-Force in issue #8 (March 1992). Finally, the character's first full-fledged appearance occurred in X-Force #11 (June 1992).

Domino's character is somewhat contradictory. She constantly experiences sudden mood swings, and sometimes uses profanity. She regularly becomes involved in skirmishes and verbal altercations with some characters, mostly with Wade Wilson, better known by the nickname Deadpool. However, this did not prevent the development of a romantic relationship between them. Domino is characterized by rare outbursts of excessive brutality, which can be justified by the constant stress on assignments, murders that have become commonplace, and some disagreements with his teammates.

The woman, who later became known as Domino, was the result of a top-secret government program to create the perfect weapon. Domino passed the survival test only, and her ability to control probability (thereby bringing herself unimaginable luck in all her endeavors) was not taken into account. Domino's biological mother helped her escape from the project, and left her with Father Rudolfo Bocelli at Sacred Heart Church in Chicago. Eventually, Domino left the church and became a mercenary. One of her first jobs was to stop Jericho's Operation, which was controlled remotely by soldiers through a robot. Domino destroyed the robot, but in the process fried the brain of the soldier who controlled this robot. After that, Domino was assigned to protect the brilliant Dr. Milo Thurman, his analytical abilities made him too dangerous for the government, so it could not let him walk free. Somehow Domino and Dr. Thurman fell in love and got married. However, they later divorced. Nina currently has a good relationship with Deadpool: however, in most comics their relationship is romantic, while in others it is only a strong friendship and "fighting camaraderie."

Domino is able to subconsciously influence the field of probability, causing unlikely things to happen, bringing herself incredible luck in her endeavors, and at the same time bringing her enemies bad luck. The phenomenon of the "Field of Probability" can be anything. The full potential of her powers is still unknown.

Domino's subconsciously controlled talent is like a trigger, especially in stressful situations (such as escape).

Domino's abilities constantly emanate from her body subconsciously, however, in order for it to bring good luck, Domino must focus on things or events that she can influence. For example, if Domino is just standing under fire, the bullets will kill her, and if she tries to direct her abilities at them and influence the probability, she will miraculously be able to avoid a bullet wound. In the Avengers vs X-Men series, Domino uses his power to single-handedly defeat the Red Hulk.

Nina is a superbly trained marksman and a master of hand-to-hand combat.

Suffers from alectorophobia (fear of roosters).
