Eddard Stark

Lord Eddard Stark, nicknamed Ned or the Silent Wolf, is the head of House Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Guardian of the North.Eddard is an extremely noble and honest man, a loving husband and father, although his scrupulousness and fidelity to principles are seen as a weakness in the capital. Like many Northerners, he professes faith in the Old Gods.

Eddard Stark is a close friend of King Robert Baratheon. Once upon a time, when the Targaryens kidnapped Eddard's sister Lyanna and executed his father and older brother, Eddard, who unexpectedly became Lord, united the North around himself and helped Robert Baratheon overthrow King Aerys II. Years later, Eddard and Robert reunited their armies to put down Balon Greyjoy's rebellion.
