Emma Watson

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson) April 15, 1990, Maisons-Laffitte, a suburb of Paris, France) is a British film actress and fashion model.

She became widely known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, in which she starred alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. Emma got the role in 1999, when she was 9 years old. Before that, she had only participated in school stage productions. Participation in this project brought the actress many awards, as well as more than 10 million pounds.

Emma's first role outside of Harry Potter was in 2007 in the movie Ballet Shoes. In this film adaptation of Noelle Streetfield's novel of the same name, Emma played aspiring actress Pauline Fossil, the eldest of the three sisters around whom the plot is based. About this role, Emma said,
"After finishing filming for The Order of the Phoenix, I was going to go back to school, but I still couldn't give up Ballet Shoes. I really love this piece."
