Galadriel

Galadriel (Sind. Galadriel) is an elven lady, a character in the epic "The Lord of the Rings" by John R. R. Tolkien. The Lady of Lorien. The most beautiful and powerful of the elven lords remaining in Middle-earth in the Third Age. For her beautiful appearance, she was nicknamed the "Morning Star of the Elven people."

Galadriel was born in Valinor, in the year 1362 of the Age of the Ancients. She was the fourth child and only daughter of Finarfin and Earwen, and the sister of Finrod, Angrod, and Aegnor.
In her youth, she was, like most Noldor, a student of Aule and Yavanna. But having learned all that the Valar considered necessary to teach the elves, Galadriel felt herself constrained in Valinor by the care of the Valar. Galadriel and her half-uncle, Feanor, never had friendly relations, nevertheless, he admired her hair of amazing beauty. Foreseeing the coming disaster, Feanor decided to save the blessed light of the Trees of Valinor and asked Galadriel (three times) to give him a lock of her hair, but she refused three times because she saw darkness in her uncle, although she did not notice the same darkness in herself and all the other Noldor.

The enmity between them turned into enmity when the quarrels prepared by Morgoth began in the House of Finwe; during them, Galadriel firmly adhered to the Quenya pronunciation with the "s" (in the House of Feanor, it was required to speak with the "t"). When Feanor called on the Noldor to leave Aman and return to Middle-earth, Galadriel tended to side with the rebels, then with the Valar.

By nature, she was kind, fair and merciful, but proud, strong-minded and self-willed - like all the descendants of Finwe (except Finarfin). However, the noble spirit of the Vanyar lived in her and their inherent reverence for the Valar, and from her mother from Teleri, Galadriel inherited dreams of the sea and distant, unseen lands. In her youth, she was as strong as the male athletes of the Eldar, but she was incapable of punitive actions.

Galadriel was the greatest of the elven women (after Luthien); her special talent was the ability to penetrate the souls of others and understand them (osanwe); Galadriel was invincible in the resistance of mind and spirit. Galadriel surpassed Feanor in philosophical wisdom, being the greatest of the Noldor after him, and over the years her wisdom only increased, which allowed her to become a wise leader and adviser in the fight against Sauron in the future.
