Gwindoline is a talented illusionist, as he created the illusion of his sister in the city palace and maintained an illusory daylight throughout the city. At the time of the events of the game, Gwindoline is the last remaining deity in Anor Londo.

He leads the Dark Moon Blades Covenant, which hunts down sinners. Gwyndolin alone remained faithful to his duty and remained to maintain order in Anor Londo. Together with his small order, he protects the city, hunts for villains and, through the illusion of his sister, helps guide the player to save the world by bringing fire.
