Rubeus Hagrid is a teacher of the care of magical creatures and a forester at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Everyone just calls him Hagrid.

Hagrid is half human, half giant. His mother, Fridwulf's giantess, left his father when Rubeus was still a child. Hagrid has a half-brother, a giant named Grokh. Giants have a reputation for being huge and stupid killers, who, moreover, were on the side of Lord Voldemort in the first Wizarding War, so Hagrid keeps his origins a secret.

Hagrid is good-natured, patient, attentive and vulnerable. He has a great love for animals, is ready to see a cute pet in every monster, so he manages to tame even the most ferocious of them. Some people think that he is unsociable, clumsy, ignorant... But this is not the case. If Hagrid makes friends with anyone, you won't find a more devoted friend. He has a special fondness for Harry Potter and his friends, and has always been glad to see them as his guests.
