Lorgar


Lorgar, also known as Lorgar Aurelian and Urizen (which means "the wisest of the wisest" in Colchian) is a former primarch of the XVII Legion. Currently, the demon is the prince of Chaos of the Indivisible. Lorgar sought to uplift humanity through deep faith in the divine, but after the Emperor of Mankind rejected his worship, he discovered new gods worthy of his devotion, these were the entities of the Destructive Forces of Chaos, during his pilgrimage.

Lorgar was the first primarch to be corrupted by Chaos, and it was on his orders that Primarch Horus Lupercal was corrupted. He and his legion of Word Bearers are currently on the demonic world of Sicarus, in the Eye of Terror.

Lorgar Aurelian, the Golden Son, as many called him, the only one of the brothers whose favorite weapon was the direct power of devotion, was the lord of the legion of the Word Bearers. At the dawn of his days, he stirred up the whole world with the power of speech and the pure power of charisma, leading Colchis, his adopted homeland, through the flames of civil war to worship the Emperor, whose coming he foresaw in his dreams. Reunited with his father and standing at the head of the Word Bearers legion, Lorgar led conquests not just with stratagems, overwhelming force, or primitive brute violence, but with the exquisite art of aggrandizement, liberation, and example, inspiring his sons to feats of arms in the name of Imperial Truth and shaking the populations of entire planets with statesmanship and foresight. Under his leadership, the legion did not simply force the planet into submission, leaving only scorched ruins behind, but used force of arms only if necessary to raise and lead to freedom. The brutal destruction was reserved for repeat offenders, hopelessly corrupted and cursed. However, due to Lorgar's literal interpretation of the meaning of the undertaken Great Crusade, he and his legion lost their way.
