Eric Lehnsherr is a mutant fighting for the domination of mutants over humans, who knows how to manipulate magnetism, also known as Magneto.

Magneto is considered one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe, possessing the power to control magnetism. He is also one of the most morally challenging characters in American comics. Magneto is a German Jew (real name Max Eisenhardt) who survived the Holocaust and wants to protect the mutant race from a similar fate. Magneto's image has changed over the years from a supervillain to an antihero and even a hero, although most often he is depicted as very belligerent, resorting to terrorist acts in order, as it seems to him, to protect mutants from humanity. The struggle for the rights of mutants made him a friend of Charles Xavier, who, along with the X-Men loyal to him, strives for peaceful coexistence with other people. In Xavier's absence, he patronizes young mutants and even the X-Men.
Magneto has been the main antagonist of the X-Men since his very first appearance. He created several hostile associations, including the Brotherhood of Mutants and Servants.
