May is a real scientist, and she has decided to take matters into her own hands to save the environment.

Although many attributed the planet's environmental problems and climate changes to the emergence of new technologies, the rapid growth in the number of robots and the increase in mining, the true causes remained a mystery. Hoping to lift the veil of secrecy, representatives of Overwatch have established observation posts in key points of the planet.

Mei-Ling Zhou was one of those on whose shoulders the implementation of this long-term project was entrusted. As a world-class climatologist, she has developed a number of technologies that make it possible to manage the climate and protect certain areas in Asia (and beyond) from danger. May was working at an observation post in Antarctica when a terrible disaster occurred: a sudden monstrous polar storm cut off the base from the outside world and damaged the life support systems. The scientists were left to fend for themselves. When their supplies ran out, they decided to put themselves in cryogenic freezing until someone came to their rescue.

But help never came. Cryogenic chambers with members of the expedition were discovered only many years later. May, who had been frozen all this time, turned out to be the only survivor. The world she found herself in was very different from the one she remembered: Overwatch was disbanded, climate problems became even more acute, and the environmental monitoring posts were closed. All data received by the team was lost.

May decided to continue working alone. Armed with a portable device that allows her to control the weather, she set off to travel the world in the hope of restoring a network of environmental observation posts and identifying the causes of disturbances in the planet's ecosystem.
