Gandalf was in charge of the fireworks: he not only brought the rockets, he made them himself to decorate the sky with fire paintings. He also prepared a lot of firecrackers, firecrackers, sparklers, golden scattering, torchlight sparklers, dwarf sparkling candles, elven lightning and goblin thunderbolt. He was excellent at them, and they were getting better over the years.

Flaming birds soared in the sky, ringing out the heights with their sonorous singing. Bright green spring foliage flashed on the dark trunks of smoke, and fiery flowers fell from the shining branches onto the hobbits' heads, raining down and going out in front of their very noses, leaving a delicate fragrance in the air. Swarms of brilliant moths flew up into the trees, colored lights soared into the sky – and turned into eagles, sailboats, swans. Crimson clouds were pouring down a resplendent downpour. Then a battle cry rang out, and a bundle of silvery spears shot up into the sky and crashed into the river with a snake's thorn. A special number in honor of Bilbo: Gandalf showed himself. All the lights went out; a gigantic pillar of smoke rose into the sky. He rolled into a distant mountain, its peak flared up and burst into a scarlet-green flame. A red-and-gold dragon flew out of the flames, terrifyingly real, only smaller: its eyes burned with rage, its mouth spewed fire, with a frenzied roar it described three whistling circles, descending on the crowd. Everyone ducked, many fell flat. The dragon flew over the heads of the Hobbits, somersaulted in the air and exploded with a deafening roar over the Riverlands.
