Skyrim

This province is the second homeland of the Nords. Skyrim, also known as the Old Kingdom or Homeland, was a region of Tamriel inhabited by people who fled the freezing continent of Atmora.

The ruler of Skyrim is the Supreme King, who is chosen by the Assembly of Jarls. This tradition was established after the devastating war of Succession. Violating this tradition is punishable by death, as in the case of Ulfric Stormbringer's murder of King Torug. All jarls report to the High King. In general, the model of power in Skyrim resembles a federation, since the possessions have some semblance of autonomy, but at the same time they are subordinate to the King.
