SORAKA - THE STAR CHILD

Long ago, when time itself was young, the inhabitants of the celestial spheres watched with growing concern the formation of the peoples of Runeterra.
The actions of these creatures differed significantly, unpredictably, and sometimes even dangerously from the grand designs of the celestials. Often, omens and fateful signs woven into the constellation pattern were either overlooked or, worse, misinterpreted, causing chaos, confusion and suffering.
Unable to look at it anymore and do nothing, one of the heavenly creatures decided to descend into the mortal world and untangle the knots in the fabric of the universe. The star child had taken on flesh and blood, and although the powerful magic coursing through his veins burned this new body from the inside out, the suffering paled before the opportunity to fix the broken and complement the imperfect.
That's how Soraka was born and began her mission: to reduce the suffering of the mortals she meets along the way.
Alas, she soon learned that there is no limit to the cruelty of the peoples of Runterra. On the battlefields of inevitable wars, in the seedy quarters of huge cities and on the borders of the wild lands beyond their borders, strife, betrayal and suffering reigned everywhere. Soraka watched helplessly as mortals, in their ignorance, tore at the threads of fate they could have spun. She realized that the age of mortals was too short for them to see the great patterns–now lost.
But Soraka continued to live among mortals, as if she were one of them. She was trying to fix something.… And one day something completely unexpected happened.
Behind the tight knots, tangled threads, and gaping holes in the great picture of the universe, a new, spontaneous pattern suddenly began to emerge. Its complexity amazed Soraka.
Unintentionally and uncontrollably, mortals created new mysterious destinies for themselves. From the height of the celestial spheres, it looked like complete chaos, but Soraka, who roamed the earth, protected by the magic of the stars from the destructive influence of time, saw an almost flawless beauty. Yes, the cruelty of mortals knew no bounds – but there was boundless kindness and inspiration, which even the celestials would envy.
Soraka realized that her true purpose was not to correct and multiply the heavenly patterns. Although part of her yearned for the clear and reassuringly familiar destinies recorded among the stars, deep down she knew that the rigid boundaries of fate would not hold back the exuberant potential of mortals.
She took up the task with a vengeance, trying to unlock the possibilities of everyone she met. Soraka wanted to inspire and guide, not lead. She dreamed of seeing what untamed paths every mortal would make for himself in his brief but vivid moment.
For several millennia, the legends of the Star Child have spread throughout Runeterra. In some tribes of the Freljord, there is still talk of a horned wanderer and a healer who can soften the icy grip of the harshest winter. Deep under the Stone, there are rumors about a lilac-skinned healer who could purify lungs poisoned by the alchemical Gray sky. The most ancient myths of vastaiashai'rei from restless Ionia tell of a soothsayer who is able to speak to the stars and summon their power to heal ailments and punish those who dare to harm the Ancestral Land.
Soraka now lives on the westernmost slope of Mount Targon. She looks after the isolated Vastaya tribe, teaching them medicine and minding her own business. What made her settle so close to the great mountain and how long she will stay here, only Soraka herself knows.
She has watched entire civilizations on the brink of destruction many times, and realized that she cannot save those who do not want to, or make them see what they do not want to see.
Still, Soraka has no intention of stopping.
