Sub-Zero

Kuai Liang was one of two brothers, the sons of a representative of the Lin Kuei clan in the United States. Against their mother's wishes, their father took them to China, where they were trained as killer warriors. After some time, the name "Sub-Zero" passed to his older brother Bi-Han, who was hired by Kuan Chi to steal a map from a Shaolin temple and search for Shinnok's amulet. After completing his adventures, Sub-Zero Sr. was hired by Shang Tsung and one of his enemies, who wanted the sorcerer dead. During the tenth tournament, Bi Khan was killed by Scorpion in revenge for his murder during the theft of the card. That's how the name "Sub-Zero" passed to Kuai Liang's younger brother.
