The Werewolf

One can become a wolfman as a result of a curse or be born as such if both or even one of the parents is a werewolf. Depending on the root cause of lycanthropy, the conditions of the curse and transformation, and the personal qualities of the individual, the lycanthrope can turn either at will, or at certain times, such as during the full moon, or even permanently remain a wolf, and both lose control after conversion and maintain intelligence, acquiring exclusively the advantages of the wolf body. In addition, even in human form, wolfmen have incredibly subtle senses of smell and hearing, as well as accelerated regeneration, superhuman agility and speed.

Of course, a reasonable, self—aware wolfman is very rare, and more often than not werewolves do not control the transformation process and what they do as wolves — they are driven by an animal thirst for blood and predator instincts. Assuming human form again, people usually do not remember the atrocities they committed in the guise of a wolfman. Despite the loss of control, wolfmen retain the overall "productivity" of the human mind and are incomparably smarter than animals, and sometimes they can even regain consciousness and speak. Volkolaks are especially active during the full moon. They hunt, as a rule, alone, however, they can control ordinary wolves and summon them to their aid in case of danger.
