K2-CO

K-2SO (Kay-Tuesso), abbreviated K-2 (Kay-Tu) or Kay— is a KX series security droid originally created for the armed forces of the Galactic Empire. Like all droids, he could function in a vacuum (in outer space).

At some point, the droid joined Captain Cassian Andor, a member of the Alliance for the Restoration of the Republic, an insurgent movement seeking to overthrow the Empire and restore democracy. Andor managed to reprogram K-2SO as a strategic planner for the service of the Alliance.

Together with the K-2SO rebel group, he participated in a mission to steal the blueprints of the Imperial Death Star Battle Station. During the mission, Kay-Tu was destroyed by Imperial stormtroopers while covering for Cassian Andor and Jean Erso, who were searching for a data carrier with blueprints in the Citadel.
