Cthulhu

Cthulhu is a deity from the pantheon of the great horror writer H. F. Lovecraft. He is one of the main Great Ancients in the Myths of Cthulhu, a race of deities. Cthulhu is known for its grotesque appearance and gigantic size, as well as its ability to drive anyone who sees it into madness.

In appearance, Cthulhu resembles an octopus, a dragon, and a man in different parts of his body: judging by the bas-relief of Anthony Wilcox, the hero of "The Call of Cthulhu," and the mysterious ancient statue from the story, the monster has a head with tentacles, a humanoid body covered with scales, and a pair of rudimentary wings. The description from Gustaf Johansen's fictional magazine adds that a living Cthulhu squelches and drips with mucus when moving, and his body is green, gelatinous, and miraculously regenerates with observed rapidity. His exact height is not specified; Johansen likened the monster to a "walking mountain" bigger than the "legendary Cyclops"; Cthulhu (floating or walking on the bottom) "rose above the impure foam like the stern of a demonic galleon."
